MyAgenda – A Simple Reminder Application for Ubuntu

One of the latest apps for Ubuntu released recently (for the Ubuntu App Showdown) is MyAgenda. MyAgenda works as a very simple calendar/reminder application. It has a rather well crafted design and a simple interface that keeps the clutter (or unnecessary buttons) away.

To create a reminder, users just have to click the icon and they will receive a small pop-up asking for the details. Users are also given the option to be reminded of that specific event. If ticked, a notification will pop-up using the native notification in Ubuntu.

MyAgenda is a very simple calendar application which (in my opinion) has great potential. I do hope that the developers would consider adding more features such as syncing with Google Calendar or with the Calendar Menu in Unity.

To give MyAgenda a try, type in the following in the terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:piotr-zagawa/ma2
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install myagenda

MyAgenda is one of the apps developed for the Ubuntu App Showdown, and is participating in the community vote. For the full list of apps, click here.
