Take Away Malaysia – Fast Food Just Got Faster
Hungry, but don’t remember the number of your favourite fast food outlet? Don’t worry, Take Away Malaysia is here.
Take Away Malaysia is an Android that I developed to make the process of ordering fast food much easier. This app lists down the common fast food outlets in Malaysia that offer a delivery service, and when an option is clicked the specific restaurant is called.
This is my first Android application (or can I say my first real application) – which also explains the simplicity of this application. It works on any Android device running 2.2 or above and requires phone capabilities.
What have I learned?
- How to develop an Android application from scratceh
- How to use the Android SDK on Eclipse, run the device manager and test apps on actual devices.
- Code a practical application using Java (which I’m still pretty new to)
- Learn how having Android run on many screen sizes can be annoying as you have to set icons for practically every size
Hopefully, this would lead to more Android apps and I will start developing apps for all other platforms too. Do download it and tell me what you think.
